Class Details
Please review the information below before attending class. For details specific to the class you signed up for, be sure to click on that class link below. Any recommended class preparatory work is mentioned below under each class title.
LOCATION: Check your registration receipt to ensure that you are driving to the right place. Should you have any questions about the location prior to the day of the event, please contact our main office at 919.854.9555.
PARKING (when classes are head at 7980 Chapel Hill Road): Classes during the weekdays: please park on the side street (Reedy Creek Road) or at the church at the corner of Reedy Creek and Chapel Hill Road. Feel free to drop off stuff at the main entrance prior to parking. The main entrance is from the large parking lot in the back of the building. Hands On Health is suite 125.
WHERE TO STAY: If you are from out of town, we recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites that is located at 111 Hampton Woods Ln, Raleigh, NC 27607, one mile from the class location.
WHERE TO EAT LUNCH: There are many restaurants within 1-2 miles. An hour-long break is provided midday, for lunch, for classes longer than 4 hrs.
CANCELLATION POLICY: To receive a full refund, cancellation notice must be given no later than 11 days prior to the class. Cancellation notice 6-10 days prior to class will receive 1/2 course credit or 1/2 refund. Cancellation 2-4 days prior to class = 1/2 course credit. Cancellation or no show for any reason within 24 hours of class will result in $0 refund/credit. Please plan ahead.
Please note that each class is subject to a minimum and maximum enrollment requirement. If the minimum number of students is not met, or if the maximum number is exceeded, the class may be subject to cancellation or location adjustment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS
Look at the list below. Locate the class you will be attending and read about what’s needed for class.
CLASS DETAILS FOR LECTURE/LAB CLASSES (ETHICS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, BUSINESS, FIBROMYALGIA, TREATMENT PLANNING classes)
Notebook and pen for lecture (ethics, professional development classes) and a laptop for computer classes (Facebook, Social Media, Marketing and Design classes), laptop power cord. We have cloth cushioned folding chairs that are acceptable for most students. If you have special needs in regards to chair comfort, you are welcome to bring a travel chair such as a camping chair.
PREPARATIONS: Perform software updates on your laptop prior to the day of class.
I-NMT CLASSES
WHAT TO BRING: These are hands on classes, please bring your massage table. If you are unable to bring a table or it is inconvenient for you, please contact us so we can ensure we will have enough tables supplied for the class. Sheets, face cradle, three towels, bolster, 1-2 pillows. Snacks and drinks, layers to ensure comfort, comfortable clothing, bathing suit or form fitting clothing [in event that posture observations are a part of the curriculum]. Tacky medium such as: Burts Bees foot or hand balm, petroleum jelly, Bag Balm, and Notebook and pen.
PREPARATIONS: All NMT classes address myofascial and neuromuscular techniques and bodywork philosophies. They are fast paced and advanced and it helps to familiarize yourself in advance of the class. Crack open your anatomy text and take a look at attachments, fiber direction, ligaments, muscles, joints, spine curvature, nerves, cardiovascular system, and lymph system in the class region. Netter’s Atlas Of Human Anatomy book and The Trail Guide books are great resources as well as any other anatomy books you may already have on hand in your personal library.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE CLASS
WHAT TO BRING: This is a hands on class, please bring your massage table. If you are unable to bring a table, please contact us in advance so we can ensure we will have enough tables supplied for the class. Sheets, table, tacky medium (such as Burts Bees foot or hand balm or Hands On Health’s beeswax/coconut oil balm) will supplied. Snacks and drinks, layers to ensure comfort, comfortable clothing, notebook and pen.
MYOFASCIAL FOAM ROLLING
WHAT TO BRING: Yoga Mat or Towel, laced tennis shoes/sneakers and socks (these are needed for grip), snacks and drinks, layers to ensure comfort, comfortable clothing, notebook and pen. We have foam rollers for use during class. Large, small, long flat, and hard foam will be available for purchase.
CUPPING PRINCIPLES & APPLICATIONS
WHAT TO BRING: This is a hands on class, please bring your massage table. If you are unable to bring a table, please contact us so we can ensure we will have enough tables supplied for the class. Sheets, face cradle, towel, bolster, snacks and drinks, layers and comfortable clothing to ensure comfort, notebook and pen. Please note: Silicone glide cups of all sizes will be provided for classroom use. Additionally, you will receive a medium sized silicone glide cup to take home. Other size cups are available for purchase.
ALL OTHER THERAPEUTIC CLASSES
WHAT TO BRING: In general, these classes require at least one treatment table for every two students. If you cannot bring a table to class, please contact us and let us know so we are sure there are enough tables for the participants. Bring a set of sheets and face cradle, a pillow, lotion, notebook and pen, layered clothing for comfort, snacks.
